Talib Jasir is a storyteller, visual artist and advocate for the people and their collective power.
Born a twin in Baltimore, MD during the mid-70s, he spent his earliest years traversing the back woods of Maryland’s Eastern Shore under the guardianship of his Great Grandmother. Reared by a village of irrepressible folk, he learned the paramountcy of kinship, love and the dynamism of language.
He currently lives in Jersey City with his wife, teenaged daughter, Pit Bull and Teacup Yorkie and is committed to his family and friends, health and fitness, reading everything, writing until his fingertips callous, believing in self and creating legacy.
Talib is a certified Life Coach to Creatives & Entrepreneurs, who truly believes that iron sharpens iron. To learn more about his work as a coach visit http://www.fwdmovement.org
He received his BA in Public Policy/Urban Studies (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Peter’s University where he also minored in Africana Studies and Social Justice.
